We've expressed our love for ban.do before, but there is something so romantic and lovely about their new Black label line.
Real wedding: Hollin + Eric
We are loving Hollin and Eric's beautiful wedding, full of sweet details and DIY elements. Hollin, along with some helpful friends and family, created most of the decorations, and it all turned out so vintage chic!
Thanks to the very talented Ben Blood for sharing his gorgeous photos of their wedding at Treehouse Point in Issaquah, Washington. Tree-filled and moss-covered, Treehouse Point offers two incredible treehouses for lodging by master treehouse builder Pete Nelson who, along with his wife Judy, host private events and overnight retreats. So natural and ethereal!
The groomsmen donned tweed and wore handmade mismatching boutineers and ties.
Hollin's vintage inspired dress was made by Portland designer Holly Stalder, who even gave Hollin extra fabric for her to make the flower on her veil! So lovely.
Hollin and her bridesmaids made their own headpieces...just gorgeous!
The bride's sister and maid of honor Keiko, hand drew and screen printed coffee and tea bags as favors for the guests.
Hollin's mom made each of the bridesmaid's dresses. We love the fabric and individual sash detailing.
Hello!Lucky designer Anna created whimsical invitations complete with illustrations of the bride and groom dancing under the trees.
What a talented group of people! Congratulations, Hollin and Eric!
Brand new Kate Spade!
Everyone's talking about it, but we simply can't help but join in the collective swooning over the new Kate Spade collection! While the clothes are stunning on their own, we just love the bold use of color and retro styling captured in these photos.
Take a look at the whole collection here!
The colorful tights paired with bold, graphic pieces; so simple, and yet so genius...
Truly, we would love to look like this every day! Ah, if only...
Oh, Kate - you've done it again!

Timeless Vixen Vintage
We absolutely LOVE vintage clothing and vintage dresses in particular. Timeless Vixen Vintage (found via Snippet & Ink - Merry Go Round inspiration board) has not only an amazing selection of gorgeous dresses, but remarkably, many of them are in reasonable sizes as well! How fabulous would these dresses be for bridemaids?
The dresses are a wee bit pricey, but so fantastic and in such great condition, it might very well be worth it for a special occasion!
Love this 40's number...
We can't get over their really stunning selection of stylish pieces...
Love the cherry red! And a fifties party dress is flattering on almost anyone...
And they have gorgeous things from somewhat harder to find eras, like this navy blue 1930's flutter dress...(and it's not a size 0! No offense to all you size 0's out there, but for those of us who have so often gazed longingly at a gorgeous bit of vintage with a 25" waist and then, regretfully, put it back on the rack - hurrah!!)
This Edwardian tea dress would make a stunning wedding dress...it reminds of us the dress worn in this woodland inspired wedding....
Love, love, LOVE it!
Soho Mode Tea Dresses
We love these pretty tea dresses from Louise Hedley of Soho Mode -- they would make such perfect mix-and-match bridesmaid dresses for a vintage-inspired garden wedding.
Lovely! Via The Constant Gatherer.

In the studio with Dilek Sezen
Last week we got the chance to visit Dilek Sezen, a San Francisco jewelry designer, in her Union Street studio. She recently launched an affordable wedding jewelry line that is just stunning!
This pearl and diamond necklace is our favorite. So lovely!
Dilek showed us some of the gorgeous water color drawings that she creates for each piece she designs. Originally from Turkey, she worked for many years as a jewelry designer at Tiffany & Company before starting her own line. We're so glad she did! Her eye is exquisite, and the experience of being in her cozy studio was such a nice break from the blinged-out, hard-sell environment of so many jewelry shops.
Dilek specializes in custom designs, creating a story board and original drawings for each design. The one above was for a necklace that a husband gave to his wife on the birth of their first child that incorporated both their birth stones. So sweet!
Dilek's studio is tucked away down an alley off Union Street -- dare we say, a hidden gem!

In the studio with Jennifer Behr
The other week when we were in New York we had the privilege of spending several hours playing at the brilliantly talented Jennifer Behr's Fort Green studio. Jen is working on a headpiece for Eunice's upcoming wedding, and we probably spent about 3 hours trying on all manner of be-jeweled, be-feathered, be-ribboned hair accessories. It was so much fun! Here's Jen trying a piece on Eunice...
One of Jen's more over-the-top headpieces (she regularly makes one-of-a-kind pieces for Vogue, W, etc.)
Beautiful baubles were everywhere...
Her flat files are full of different pieces, like these beautiful rope creations...
Or these gorgeous fabric flowers...
Sometimes you come across a drawer full of treasures like this one...
Glittery copper leaves...
A collection of vintage millinery tools in her fireplace...
Here's Jen's main work table, where all the magic happens!
And her cozy kitchen. It's crafter's and a fashionista's paradise - can't wait to visit again next time we're in New York!

Vera Wang 2009 Collection
We recently attended the preview of the Vera Wang 2009 collection hosted by San Francisco Brides magazine at the Bently Reserve - the event was fabulous, and the collection was stunning!
We especially loved all the ethereal detals and gorgeous romantic ruffles!
This seafoam number was one of our favorites - very Midsummer Nights' dream (and also reminded us of some of the goregeous dresses Tim Walker has photographed)
Some of the models back stage. Vera Wang's gowns are available exclusively at Bridal Galleria in San Francisco.
We created the invitations for the event using the Chandelier design by EIEIO. Photography by Jade Studio Productions.
Jennifer Behr 2009 Spring Collection
We're completely in love with Jennifer Behr's Spring collection! We got to see it in person when we were in New York a couple weeks ago and we're telling you gals, it's gorgeous!
This is one of our faves - gorgeous crystals on delicate chiffon - so pretty!
Love this structured knot!
This little crystal wing clip is so cute! Sigh...long live the headband and bedazzled barrettes! Shop for Jennifer's creations here.
Hello!Lucky at Zac Posen
Last week we had the pleasure of attending Zac Posen's show at Fashion Week, for which we'd letterpress printed the invitations. It was one of those can't-miss opportunities and our first time attending a runway show. It was pretty fabulous, we gotta say!
His collection was romantic and Victorian-inspired; the show was accompanied by the 5 Browns, playing Steinway grand pianos.
Mr. Posen looked smashing in a tux!
Here we are backstage!
Of course there were tons of celebs there -- here we are with the inimitable Miss J. of ANTM (with Natalia of Arieff Communications).
Sarah Seven bridesmaid & wedding dresses
We're in love with Portland designer Sarah Seven's romantic dresses, which we discovered thanks to Kilee at the Happy Hour Bride. These would be so perfect for bridesmaids or the bride!
Love the seafoam color of this one, and the pretty detail in the bodice.
Check out more of her work at her Etsy shop and her website.
Modern Creative Bridal Fair
We recently blogged about the fabulous Stacy McCain, and are thrilled to be participating in a bridal fair she's organizing with Dekker Photography on February 26th, featuring a collection of wonderful vendors, including Magnolia Floral Design, Cake Work, Best Beverage Catering, Amy Kuschel, Got Light?, and Papineau Calligraphy.
The party will be on Thursday the 26th of February from 6-9pm and will be a low-key, intimate affair (unlike many of the large, impersonal bridal fairs out there!). There will be an open bar, delicious catering, live music and beautiful decor. So come on by, have some food and drinks with us and have fun! Tickets are available at

Bridesmaids and flower girls at J.Crew
How much are we loving the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses over at J. Crew right now? So much it hurts! I mean, how cute is this little ruffled dress?
And we just can't decide which of these two headbands would be cuter! We're leaning towards the green because it's so much more unexpected for a little girl...
And of course there's this fabulous bow clutch, available in a host of pretty colors!
And our favorite of all - this stunning grey silk dress - love the petal detail at the collar!
The stylists have paired it with these gorgeous yellow strappy heels...
and this fabulous bauble bracelet...
They're rockin' it over there!
And the piece de resistence - this perfect mod little party dress! Perfect for a flower girl fashionista! Way to go, J. Crew!
