Big Day's big feature in The Knot!

Hello!Lucky's Big Day invitation was recently featured in The Knot and we couldn't be more proud!

The classic black, white, red and gold color scheme pairs perfectly with the old world grandeur of San Francisco's City Hall, the setting of Courtney and Ethan's fabulously chic wedding.

Things we adore: crimson peep toe pumps with sleek black dresses, tiny red velvet cupcakes, bouquets of hot pink and orange blooms, the Golden Gate bridge icon on our San Francisco Skyline Menu and Place Cards... and did we mention red velvet cupcakes?

Studio Snapshot: Special Delivery!

Extra! Extra! Yesterday we received a special delivery with the soon-to-be-released September 2011 issue of Brides Magazine! We always love to browse Brides' perfectly groomed pages for inspiration and fresh ideas. The September issue is packed full of glamorous wedding gowns, delicious cakes, and smart tips to make your big day a cinch! They also included an article titled "The Ultimate Guide to Table Stationery," and we were thrilled to have a few of our designs featured.

Our Whimsy menu, Big Day place cards, and Evelyn table number shined among other amazing pieces by super-talented designers.

We always encourage creativity when preparing for a table display, and we've seen a number of beautiful arrangements in the past. Whether you choose tented place cards, personalized menus, or framed table numbers - there is always room to spruce up the presentation. Simply placing a card in a pool of jellybeans creates a playful and colorful display, like these bright pink and orange custom cards below!

The September 2011 issue will be on newsstands soon and we just know you'll love it as much as we do!

Real Wedding: Ingrid and Howard

The setting of a wedding can really enhance the mood of a celebration, especially when it takes place somewhere as breathtaking as the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito! Ingrid and Howard's summery and stylish wedding just screams happiness - how could anyone feel otherwise when you're hanging out in a field of lavender and loveliness?!

The couple chose our Woodland Damask letterpress invitation - doesn't it fit nicely with the bridal party?

Love the collection of vintage stamps and the stunning calligraphy by Michele Papineau.

Sunshine at the Curiosity Shoppe

The Curiosity Shoppe, a local San Francisco boutique that carries quirky home decor and funky personal accessories, is hosting a letterpress poster show that features a print (above) by our very own printer, James Tucker! We couldn't be more excited for him!  The show opens July 8th and also showcasing some of our favorite fellow Bay Area letterpress artists, like Pie Bird Press and Dutch Door Press. James' double-sided print, "Who Loves the Sun" was produced in a limited edition of 50 and is available for $40.

Real Wedding: Michelle and Jacob

Just married! We recently had the pleasure of designing a "Just Married!" photo card for Michelle and Jacob's private June celebration. This one couldn't be any more playful! The whimsical watercolor, precious pinks and tell-all photograph just screams pure joy.

Michelle and Jacob wed at the San Francisco City Hall, accompanied by 15 close family and friends. The photographer, our dear friend Edyta Szyszlo, shot these utterly romantic images of the big day, and their reception at Bar Jules in Hayes Valley (below). We're loving the simplicity of the event, and the casual/comfortable setting for their reception. Just the right amount of table decor paired with classic dinnerware makes for an effortless yet chic display.

SFMade: Hello!Lucky at Ramp it Up!

SFMade is one of our very favorite non-profits, and we are super honored  and excited to be one of ten local businesses selected to participate in their annual fundraiser party, Ramp it Up! What's Old is New Again.

SFMade supports businesses that imagine, design and manufacture products right here in the Bay Area. May 21st-27th is SFMade week.  Food, factories and fun abound!

Jude Turns 1!!

Eunice's little boy, Jude, is turning 1! Check out these super cute invitations she designed for his circus themed party...

Stay tuned for photos of the party itself!  There are rumors of clown noses and a ring of (felt) fire for the babies to crawl through - feats of daring, ahoy!

We're a wee bit tardy on this (ha!) but check out this interactive map we designed for the ever marvelous Alison Events.

They traveled something like 84 (!) days out of the year last year, orchestrating fab destination weddings the world over.   Each icon opens up stunning photos from each destination.  Check it out in action here!

A good friend of Hello!Lucky, Donna Wageman,  just got a write-up in the SF Chronicle on her charming new shop, Pot + Pantry,  in Noe Valley. Such a cute little store— we had to share!

What a beautiful backdrop! This fantastic San Francisco Wedding was just featured on Snippet and Ink.

Love the pairing of our place cards/escort cards with the Russian Dolls. Such rich colors. And Bimbo's 365 Club was just the right venue for retro ambiance. We adore Bimbo's delicate pink monogrammed plates with the menus, too! Fab photos by Our Labor of Love.
