Stationery Show Favorites, Part 3

Yes! We've still got more photos to share from the National Stationery Show. Above, is Fugu Fugu Press, a husband and wife team that makes these clever letterpress cards. We wanted all of them.

We were lucky enough to get to know the ladies of Ladyfingers Letterpress at the Louie Awards ceremony where we got to sit with them. They were so much fun and we love how their personality comes through in their colorful and clever designs.

This was the first time we had heard of Permanent Collection and we loved their colorful booth and great letterpress designs. They were as nice as could be and we're so glad we know about them now, we'll be following along and checking out what they continue to do for sure!

Sapling Press never fails to make us laugh, we spent a long time in their booth reading all of their new cards. Geniuses they are. We couldn't decide which cards to share with you so here are some of our favorites.

Stationery Show Favorites, Part 2

We know the NSS ended a few weeks ago but we have some many more photos to share with you from the show! We'll try to get through all of them this week. Above and below some shots from the shiniest, most colorful booth at the show The Great Lakes. We loved their hand painted ornaments, bright colors, witty cards and blinged out booth.

No surprise that the Rifle Paper Co. booth was expansive and lovely. We're big fans of their recipe boxes, calendars, and new cards. Photos from their beautiful booth below.

We also had a great time checking out Banquet Atelier & Workshop's booth. We liked how their posters and cards popped off the dark walls of their booth - and how great are those big bold prints? We're coveting that whale print.

Stay tuned for more photos from the show coming soon!

Stationery Show Favorites, Part 1

We're having a great time at the NSS this week. It's impossible to get photos of everything we've seen and loved. But here's our first post to share some of the goodness we've been staring at all week.

HAMMERPRESS  - We've long been fans of this Kansas City press shop and we love that our booth is directly across from there's at this years show. They've got some great new designs. Including some sweet die cut holiday cards.

YELLOW OWL WORKSHOP - Just around the corner from our booth is one of our hometown neighbors and friends, Yellow Owl Workshop. We were so impressed during set up to see Christine painting a masterpiece in her booth - check out these lovely walls! As you can imagine their booth is definitely a stand out and we love how the cards match her amazing walls.

EGG PRESS - Another stand out booth is the this homemade beauty from Portland based Egg Press. Check out their custom built walls. Some great new designs from another one of our favorite letterpress companies -- and we're not just saying that in light of our big news.

9th LETTER PRESS - Another close neighbor to us at the show is 9th Letterpress, based out of Winter Park, Florida. They've got some lovely new designs and we're also liking their big spacious booth with simple wood shelves. We love the infusion of bright cheery colors in their designs as well.

Alright! We're off to the show for another day. Check back for more of our favorites which we should have up here soon!

National Stationery Show here we come!

We’re packing our bags and getting ready to head to New York once again for the National Stationery Show. We’re super excited to catch up with old friends, favorite designers, customers, editors, and everyone else we’ll see in NY. This new release is one of our biggest yet and we can't wait to unveil it to the world. Fingers crossed everyone else will like it as much as we do! We’ll be sure to take lots of photos and share all the goodness we see at NSS with you here on the blog.

If you'll be at the show please come by and say hello, we'd love to see you!

We're Moving!

We have some big news! In May we're moving our letterpress studio to Portland, Oregon. Everything you know and love about Hello!Lucky will remain the same, but starting this summer all of the printing, production, and distribution of our letterpress cards will be overseen by one of our favorite letterpress card companies, Egg Press. All of our products, including our wedding invitations, greeting cards, and personal stationery, will still be available on the Hello!Lucky website where you can order and customize as you've always been able to.

We'll still be regularly adding new product to our site, posting things we love here on our blog, and updating you with what we're up to through social media. And, soon you'll be able to purchase Egg Press custom products on our site, too! Eunice and Sabrina will continue to design new cards and invitations, brainstorm new products, and manage Hello!Lucky from our new design studio in San Francisco's Haight Ashbury neighborhood.

One of our printers, Jon, will be moving to Portland to continue to print our cards out of the Egg Press studio, and this past weekend he drove most of our stock up there.

We're thrilled to release fifty new cards for one of our biggest releases yet this May. And we'll be at the National Stationery Show debuting our new line. If you'll be there come visit us and say hello at booth #1759!

Here's to another great decade and all that's yet to come!

Real Wedding: Elizabeth and Kristof

There's nothing we love more than seeing our designs for brides on display and put to use at their weddings. We spend so much time at our computers working hard to get every design and detail just right, it's so rewarding to see how they look on the big day!

Elizabeth and Kristof were married in Carmel, overlooking the mountains. We're all about natural backdrops for weddings and this one is perfection.

Here's some of the signage we worked on for the lovely couple. We're excited to say that this design is now available on our site, we aptly named it Mountain Skyline. Like all of our skyline designs, this one is available in both letterpress and flat printing.

Congratulations Elizabeth and Kristof!

Graduation Party Invitations

Our Marquee Save The Date transformed into a graduation party invite.

Did you know that all of the invitations on our website are completely customizable? We worked hard getting our custom tool just right and as a result you can personalize all of the designs on our website, allowing you to pick your favorite font and colors for whatever occasion you're planning. See a wedding invite you wish could be turned into a bachelorette party invitation? You can turn it into one!

Shooting Star is the perfect design to celebrate your star childs achievements!

We know now is the time a lot of you are planning for graduation parties so we used our custom tool to show you how you could personalize our designs for the grad in your life.

Our skyline designs are perfect for showing off your grads school pride. Here we customized our Austin Skyline wedding invitation into an invite for a University of Texas student.

Changing the color on a particular design can transform a formal style into a more casual one. Here we took our Flourish Rehearsal Dinner invitation and customized it so it was more suited for a relaxed graduation party in the park.

Here's to a great graduation season! If you're throwing a party we hope you find the perfect invitation on our site!

Booths We've Loved at the NSS

This week we were featured on the National Stationery Show's industry blog. We shared what we thought made a show-stopping booth and gave some examples of booths we've loved at shows past.

We're all about keeping booth designs clean and simple and think a little can go a long way. This year we'll be going with white walls and some big and bold neon decals taken from some of our favorite new card designs.

We love these booths from previous shows; at top Hannah Berman of Pie Bird Press looking adorable in her simple booth with colorful bunting, next Snow & Graham's stunning wall of paper flowers at the 2012 show, and finally, a wonderfully rustic booth from Grey Cardigan at last years show, we could live in this well designed booth!

To read the entire post head to the National Stationery site here. And if you'll be attending this year's show be sure to visit us at booth #1759!

Free Mother's Day Printables

Mother's Day is right around the corner and we're so excited to share these free printables designed by our creative director and co-founder, Eunice Moyle. All you need to do is click the links below and print at home. We recommend printing the wine label on sticker paper if possible, but printing on regular paper and glueing or taping to the bottle should work just fine. Mother's Day Wine Labels

In Good Company

We have so loved being a part of Good Company, a wedding studio based here in San Francisco. Our co-partners in the studio include photographer Lisa Lefkowitz, the dynamic wedding planners at Downey Street Events, florist Sharla Flock Designs, and hair/makeup artist Meaganne McCandess. As you can imagine, it really is the perfect one-stop studio for all of your wedding needs.

We were so excited to also be a part of a feature on Style Me Pretty Living that went live today. There are some beautiful photos of the studio accompanied by fun q&a's with each of the studio members, you can read it in full here.

San Francisco Center for the Book Re-Opening!

We're big fans of the San Francisco Center for the Book so we were excited to hear that they recently moved into a new and bigger space. This Friday, April 26th, from 6 - 9pm they will be celebrating in their new home on 375 Rhode Island Street. Head to their blog to see the great list of events they have planned for the evening which include printing and binding demos. The event is free and open to the public, just be sure to RSVP here . Green Wedding Style

To celebrate this green holiday we thought we would bring you quite possibly the most eco-friendly wedding dress we have ever seen. We found this story via treehugger and just had to share. Australian fashion designer Stephanie Watson created her wedding gown entirely out of recycled bread clips. A job that took her years to finish and totaled 10,000 recycled bread bag clips. The final cost of materials was only AUD $36.

We love that Stephanie created a blog dedicated to chronicling the construction of this amazing wedding gown. The name of the gown? Nadine. And the blog of course was called Constructing Nadine. It's fun to read through her journey of creating this unique dress.

Happy Earth Day!

Hot off the press: Circus Cards!

We're gearing up for the National Stationery Show in May which means our printer is busy at work cranking out all of our new letterpress card designs. We'll be launching around 50 new cards this May and we haven't been this excited for a new release in a long time. One of the things that makes this release so special is the fact that we're now able to incorporate gold foil in our cards. We can't wait for that sparkly release.

This year we also expanded some of our favorite existing lines. Expect to finally see more sock monkeys! Another line we've been itching to grow is our vintage circus series. You can see the first card hand drawn by Eunice here.

We're adding 5 more cards to the circus series and you're the very first to see all 5 of the new designs. One of the things that makes these cards so special is that each one is hand drawn by our founder and creative director Eunice Moyle. We had so much fun coming up with the ideas you see illustrated on these cards. And our printer did an amazing job letterpressing these beauties.

We hope they're as well received in the rest of the world as they are in our studio.

Do you have a favorite? Leave a comment telling us which one and one lucky commenter will win all 5 - before anyone else can get their hands on them!

Look for these cards in stores and on our site in mid-May.
