The Weekend Press

We pledged for The Weekend Press's Oakland Illustration Project on Kickstarter and received this awesome kit! A pocket notebook, letterpress coasters, one postcard, and 10 original prints! We are extra excited and a wee bit sentimental over this project because these prints were created with our very own Original Heidelberg Press that we sold to them when we closed up shop in SF. Not only that, but one of our lovely designers Anna Hurley moved on to collaborate with them! We are incredibly supportive of this project not only because of our connection, but because it's a community project that uses a traditional form of craftsmanship, letterpress- our one true love. Learn more about the project here! Here are a few of the prints we received. Styled and shot below by The Weekend Press.

On Press: 2012 Trade Releases

This week Max is working hard and printing all of the upcoming trade releases for 2012. Along with Eunice's and Anna's fun and beautiful new designs,  we have an armful of great new cards from our friends and favorite designers: Esther Aarts Lab Partners, and Julia Rothman.

Employee Spotlight: Anna H.

Continuing along with our employee spotlight series, this week we put our talented designer Anna Hurley in the hot seat. Anna has graced the Hello!Lucky studio for four years now, and her cheerful demeanor and witty jokes continue to keep us smiling. Anna reveals below that there are many talented bakers and chefs in our studio, but the truth is, she takes the cake for most talented when it comes to baked goods.

My role at Hello!Lucky is....

My ideal weekend activities include....

My favorite Hello!Lucky design is......
Marquee is a new one that just came out and it's lovely. Especially the save the date card.

I prefer to listen to a lot of classic rock really loudly while designing.
