Imogen's Birth Announcement
Eunice's baby girl Imogen was born on August 16th of this year. For the birth announcement, Eunice went for a hand-illustrated approach for the main, and drew inspiration from our sunshine stationery for the french/chinese insert. She used printstagram for the photo. Printstagram is an awesome service that prints your instagram photos on little squares and ships them to you within the week! We are all smitten with the outcome of this birth announcement!
Inspired By: Abigail Brown
It's hard to believe it's been over four years since we first featured the work of Abigail Brown on our blog. Her textiles had caught our attention back then, and she still continues to inspire us. Her collection of hand crafted birds are some of the most intricate textile pieces we've ever seen, and to top it off she incorporates reusable materials in her designs. A London dweller now, Abigail inherited her skills from her seamstress grandmother, and while she has transformed the long-time craft into fine art sculpture, her attention to detail is craftsmanship at its finest.
We are simply in awe of the work involved with these pieces. Our favorite might be the classy Californian Quail adorned in chic herringbone.
Her felted fledglings make timeless gifts for the bird-lovers in your life, but if they are out of price range you can still enjoy her work in other ways. Abigail's shop is full of prints, postcards, plush toys and every day accessories.
Abigail does more than just birds. Her butterfly brooches are just as elaborate and beautiful but are affordable for all!

The Crafts Department
It's absolutely no secret that we love everything Martha Stewart. Not a day goes by without checking in with the Brides Guide or scoping out a delicious fall recipe. One of our favorite spots to check in is with the Crafts Dept. blog. Not only does the Martha Stewart crafts team post daily inspiration and original craft projects, their rotating blog banner is a work of art in itself! When that day comes and a new banner arrives, a mini celebration is in order. Maybe not the champagne-popping, dance party type of celebration, but it's always a thrill to see what they come up with next. We've kept track of a few of our favorite banners along the way. Keep up the great work crafters!
Creativebug Video Shoot
Earlier this summer we were in and out of the Creativebug studios shooting four different craft video tutorials, the first of which debuts on their site today!
Creativebug is a new website dedicated to online art and craft instruction. They offer high quality video workshops on almost any topic - from pottery to bookbinding. They have some amazing crafty superstars in their lineup already and we're totally honored to have been asked to be instructors. Right now you can take classes from people like Diana Fayt, Natalie Chanin, Debbie Stoller, and others - check out the complete list of instructors here. They're constantly adding new videos and teachers to the site so be sure to check back often.
Our videos are focused on crafts to make for parties and can be adapted for any size event from a big wedding to a small birthday gathering. We had lots of fun shooting them and we hope you check them out! You can view our trailer and tutorials here.
Thanks to the amazing team at Creativebug for making the experience such a great one. We can't wait to shoot more!
Colorful Crocheted Playground
It's hard to imagine a place like this exists, especially because for most of us playgrounds were made up of wooden swings and plastic slides. Japanese artist Toshiko Horiuchi-MacAdam has created a larger-than-life crocheted playground at the Hakone Open Air Museum in Hakone, Japan, and just blew any other playground out of this world. The fiber artist describes her most treasured moments hearing the "undisguised delight of children exploring a new play space." It is truly remarkable that an artist would devote his/her time to create a space where people can interact and feel pure joy. Outstanding work!

Lab Partners Show at Super 7
Hey all you San Franciscans! If you're free tonight you should head over to Super 7 for a show by our friends the Lab Partners! They will be exhibiting a bunch of new prints like the ones shown here. We love supporting local artists so you bet we'll be there! The event, titled Next Stop: San Francisco starts at 6pm. Super 7 is located at 1427 Haight ST. See you there!
Joseph Scheer photography
There's something eerily beautiful about these rare moths photographed by Joseph Scheer. We can't help but feel mesmerized by the bold patterns, textures, and striking color palettes. Each creature has their own unique markings, some even look like they were painted with watercolors. With so much natural beauty created in this universe, we're feeling super inspired!
You can view more of this amazing work by Joseph Scheer over at Ruby Beets!
Eunice's Pinterest Picks - Art Deco Glamour
We've just added our Marquee wedding invitation to our website, an invitation I designed for a fabulous Art Deco inspired wine country wedding, so this week I've been daydreaming about a glamorous 20's era wedding. Darkly romantic florals from Saipua and these gorgeous sparkly shoes (Kallima Photography). I love the drape and details on this Temperley London Jean Dress and this whimsical shooting star headpiece from Rodarte. St. Germain favors with perfect labels from this amazing speakeasy inspired wedding, crystal and chiffon headband by our dear friend Jennifer Behr (who designed my wedding headpiece!). This simple golden cake (via StyleMePretty) is just stunning and Chie Mihara's Stratosphere Mary Janes via BHLDN are both elegant and witty. Art Deco perfection in Coralie Bickford-Smith's foil stamped cover design for the Great Gatsby and of course one must have a bass and banjo player ( The Two Man Gentleman Band ) and a perfect bridesmaid's dress from BHLDN...See my entire Marquee Inspiration Board here!
Eunice's Pinterest Picks
This week on Pinterest I've been mooning over Kris Knight's paintings - the palette, the ethereal clarity - so mesmerizing! I have been generally loving delicate, organic details like this amazing mushroom cake by Erica O'Brien (gorgeous photo by Elizabeth Messina) and the muted creamy colors blended with neutrals in this Parisian rooftop. Also loving florals by Saipua, so painterly, loose and natural! This ring by Eldel Precious, delicate champagne flutes from Joy de Vivre, gorgeous Emannuelle Junqueira dress and, apropos of nothing, Strictly No Elephants which amuses me.

Porcelain Valentines
Happy Rustic Farm week everyone! To wrap up the end of our country chic themed posts, we want to share the artistic creations by our friend and colleague Corie. Every week we look forward to her Lucky Friday posts, and always get a kick out of her cheeky greeting card descriptions. Corie carries on her humor in her own art, too! Her etsy shop coriejcole is filled with miniature porcelain figurines, that are equally as hilarious as her posts. We're loving her Gray Squirrel Eating Heart-Shaped Cookie, especially because Valentine's Day is right around the corner!

Embroidered Wedding Portraits
Happy Monday everyone! It's hard to believe September is over, and with exciting changes coming soon to Hello!Lucky, we're taking deep breaths as we welcome October in anticipation for the holiday season. Although our minds are wrapped around holiday festivities and winter cheer, wedding bells are still ringing and we had to share the perfect wedding gift for any time of year. These hand-embroidered canvas portraits by Michelle Rigg are completely customizable and turn any standard wedding portrait into a work of art.
We love all the meticulous details that go into each design. From the seams in the wedding dress, to the perfect outlines of the figures, it's easy to tell this artist takes extra special care.
Any why not make it personal? Love can be found in all forms, and for a couple with a shared interest, adding a little humor never hurts.

Limited Edition Prints Featured on D*S
It was so exciting to see our new limited edition Woodland prints featured on Design*Sponge! We worked with some of our favorite artists, including Julia Rothman, Kate Sutton and Lab Partners, to create their own interpretations of the "Woodland" theme, and couldn't be more excited by the results! We even created one ourselves (above). Each print is 12" x 18" and is available for purchase here. Each one is printed in a limited quantity of 250, so when they are gone, they're gone!
