We are thrilled to report that the wedding of Eunice's best friend, Erin and her new hubby, Jeremy, is featured on Style Me Pretty today!
It was a truly fabulous and fun affair, designed by Alison Events, with lots of ingenious details, including a vintage card catalog that acted as the seating guide. Each guest's card was cross-referenced with other guests according to interests, life history, etc....
...and possibly the most amazing and hilarious first dance - done to Hey Soul Sister by Train and including the Beyoncé's signature move from All the Single Ladies (need we say more?)...
...a photo booth by Magnolia Photo Booth - always a huge hit at any party...
We collaborated with Erin and Jeremy to come up with a charming array of stationery inspired by vintage ephemera and McSweeny's. The invitation was supposed to look like a page torn from a book...
The replies were Mad Libs fashioned to look like an old school Western Union telegram...
And the programs, designed to look like a vintage book...
This was one of our favorite projects so far this year! We really loved their creativity and sense of fun.
Foodie couple Natalie West (pastry chef) and Alex Nemeth (executive chef) were so inspired by our Chandelier wedding invitation that they used the motif on their wedding cake! The newlyweds enlisted baker Amelia Julio at Sweet Teeth Bakery to execute their vision for their Seattle nuptials at Herban Feast Sodo Park. Read more about their wedding menu here. Congrats Natalie and Alex!
Crafty couple Martine and Fred used our free template to create a sign for their signature cocktail for their recent Oregon wedding. Yay! We're so pleased we could contribute to this rustic event featuring bundt cakes, show posters and a country band! See more photos from this fun wedding at the fabulously redesigned Snippet and Ink!
Speaking of food, check out these wedding cakes made entirely of cheese! A great option for gluten-intolerant brides (Chelsea Clinton requested a gluten free cake!), maybe not-so-great for those who are lactose-intolerant.

Check out this picnic-themed inspiration shoot featured on the Southern Weddings blog! We created all the paper products to go with the floral theme.
See all the photos here.

We were incredibly honored when photographer Larissa Cleveland and planner Shannon Leahy asked us to participate in an equestrian themed photo shoot at the stunning Arastradero Preserve in Palo Alto.
We created invitations, reply cards, place cards, programs, and pony ride tickets complete with horseshoe motifs, gingham patterns and classic fonts.
Vintage prize show ribbons added to the rustic theme.
Even the cake used horseshoes as decoration!
See more photos at Snippet & Ink (thanks Kathryn!), as well as a list of participating vendors.
As if living in San Francisco wasn't fabulous enough, the proximity to the Miette pastry shop makes the experience even more delicious! In addition to their beautiful cakes, cupcakes and confections, they've recently started creating cookies based on their adorable wallpaper.
Don't fret if you live outside of the bay area - Miette ships nationwide! In the bay area? Why not take a cake decorating class and make your own?
One of the most unique elements of Eunice and Daniel's wedding was their adorable cake topper (featured on the Martha Stewart show!). Lian of Publique Living took the illustration of the couple from their save the date poster and laser cut it out of basswood. It was then stained a deep indigo with calligraphy ink, and mounted onto a styrofoam base covered in a pale green metallic crepe paper and trimmed with two tones of fuchsia grosgrain ribbon. The arch was created using floral wire, crepe paper, and tiny crepe paper flowers. The actual cake was made by Kelly Zubal of Inticing Creations.
We're looking forward to the San Francisco Wedding Fair this Sunday, January 10 from 11 - 4 at Four Seasons Hotel. Let's face it: most bridal shows are a kind of lame. However, this one consistently attracts some quality vendors. If you're thinking of only hitting one of these events, it's the one to check out.
We'll be there exhibiting with partner Magnolia Photo Booth, an awesome photo booth company that just launched in the Bay Area. Magnolia will be demo-ing their booth, and we have some brand spanking new save the date designs that use the photos & photo booth pics! Magnolia keeps a booth at our studio at 977 Howard Street (between 5th and 6th), so you can drop by use it for free to make awesome save the dates, thank you cards & more (just call ahead, as it's sometimes out on loan).
A few vendors to definitely check out at the show:
Cakes & Sweets
Calligraphy
Florists
Rentals
Classic Party Rentals Hartmann Studios
Event Designers
Check out the San Francisco Wedding Fair website for a full list of exhibitors. Enjoy!
Thanks to event planner Morgan Doan and Geoff White Photographers for sharing these stunning photos from Lori and James' recent wedding at the Bently Reserve in San Francisco. For their opulent event, they chose the Chandelier wedding invitation design by EIEIO Studio in coal and a custom berry red. So lovely!
Lori looked gorgeous! (Her makeup was by Neja Cosmetics).
As did James! Elegant minimal bout and floral arrangements by Michael Daigian Floral Design.
For those of you not familiar, the Bently Reserve is a gorgeous neoclassical building near the Embarcadero. Morgan did an amazing job of transforming it into a dramatic event space for the ceremony...
...and the reception.
Lovely cake by Jen's Cakes. Catering was by Taste Catering.
The invitation motif was carried through the seating cards...
and even the lighting (patterned gobos on the ceiling by Got Light?).
Congratulations, Lori and James!

We are sure there is, in some peoples' minds, the assumption that the perfect English wedding should be held in mid-summer with small bridesmaids in pink voile running over emerald green, sun-dappled lawns, bright roses on the tables, food and cake a-plenty and all to the sound of laughter and clink of champagne flutes (or - to each their own - beer glasses!). The August wedding of Sarah McKee and Patrick Barry didn't disappoint on any of the above.
Sarah chose our classic Cherry Blossom design for her wedding stationery and carried the floral theme right through the whole event, even Patrick's tie managed to co-ordinate! The wonderfully relaxed atmosphere was captured perfectly in the photographs taken by Charley Smith.
We love the way that the table plans were strung-out on a silken washing line in the gardens of the house near Windsor where the guests strolled before being seated in the marquee for the meal. A perfect opportunity for showing-off that pink voile dress! Notice the touch of the tiny gold clothes pegs holding each one up - genius!
The flowers for the day were by Richard Elder one of the country's leading floral designers who combined the hot Summer colours in these charming baskets for the bridesmaids. The fabulous and mouth-watering mini cake stack was by Peggy Porschen and the talented Dan McEvoy from Real Cooking did the rest of the catering. We just love the way that the cherry blossom flower has been picked-out again on the top of each cake!
Thank you so much to Sarah & Patrick for sharing these photos with us. Ah! roll-on next summer!!
We're loving these details that Chun Yee, founder of our London office, sent us of her brother's wedding! Having grown up in China & Taiwan (and being half Chinese), we love the idea of giving the traditional gold-and-red Chinese wedding palette a modern twist. Stephanie and Thomas did it to perfection! They used a folded, dual-language Cherry Blossom wedding invitation in lucky red and chocolate, and incorporated a traditional double happiness seal.
Seating cards were printed with a coordinating motif.
Beautiful cherry blossom cake adorned with paper flowers!
The getaway car!
Cute! Congratulations, Stephanie and Thomas!
Tracy from The Buttercream Studio just sent us this photo of a cute wedding cake she created based on our Chandelier wedding invitation by EIEIO. It reminded us that wedding invitations and stationery can be great source of inspiration for cakes - sometimes the design motifs on the invitation translate really well into 3-D and can help carry a consistent style through the details of wedding day.
A cake by I Dream of Cake, inspired by our French Deco Wedding Invitation.
Another cute cake design by The Buttercream Studio - not based on our Wildwood wedding invitation directly, but the anemones sure do go well together - this would be so cute for a formal garden wedding!
Have you guys seen any good examples of cakes inspired by invitations recently?

Thanks to photographer Sabine Scherer or sharing these gorgeous photos she recently took of an incredible Marie Antoinette-inspired cake by Cake Coquette!
The cake topper was flown in from La Durée in Paris!
Seriously, this cake (or a reproduction of it!) belongs in a museum. And Sabine's photography truly "takes the cake" (ugh, sorry - we couldn't resist!). Check out more of her work here, here and here.
And what a happy Friday it is! Tracy from The Buttercream Studios stopped by cake!
Our favorite after extensive tasting: Almond Butter with Apricot Preserves and Vanilla Buttercream!
Tracy is working on a fondant cake based on EIEIO's Poppy Stripe wedding invitation design for the upcoming Ritz bridal show - stay tuned for the results! (Those are Sabrina's shoes...)
We just love all the gorgeous fern and woodland-inspired details in Tess and Adam's wedding via photographer Rachel Thurston.
This terrarium centerpiece is so lovely!
Gorgeous rustic guest book table...
Lovely button mushroom cake...
Love the bride's vintage wedding dress and ferny bouquet! See more details here.

Last week we had the pleasure of savoring these gorgeous and delicous cupcakes from Perfect Endings in Napa - arguably the best and most beautifully designed cakes in the Bay Area! (The occasion was the book launch party for Alison Hotchkiss's Destination Wedding Planner).
Their red velvet cupcake was our favorite - so moist and delicious!
The thing about beautifully designed cakes is that they often look great but taste, um, not-so-great (chewy fondant, anyone?). Perfect Endings' cakes are out of this world because they look amazing and taste even better! Definitely worth splurging for on your wedding day!
